Housekeeping

You’ll have noticed that the beingoutsidecricket.com domain was down for a couple of weeks and it returned to the old collythorpe WordPress one.

Well, we’ve now sorted the issues out and it’s back to normal. Hopefully permanently. Apologies for messing around with your bookmarks and so on.

There hasn’t been much UK media coverage but the NZ v Pakistan series starts tonight (at probably my favourite ground in the world).

NZ have a recent slide to stop. Their home form had been strong until losing to Australia. They’re expected to give debuts to a new opener and spinner.

Pakistan were oddly lacklustre in the recent series in UAE. They can go back to the top of the rankings if they win 2-0 and England beat India (which is surely now a formality…..). Azhar seems set to open with Shafiq at No.3 which looks their new permanent set-up.

Cricinfo’s otherwise excellent series’ preview points out that Misbah and Cook are equal on 24 Test wins as captain each:

No prizes for guessing who’s played more games (6), had more defeats (4), has more money and gets to play at home…..

      And it’s raining….

Reports vary from “no play before lunch” to “no play at all today”. Forecast for next two days is dry but then it’s terrible again.
