Draws are Inevitable. Rain is Constant.

They finally got on the field this afternoon, but far too late to do anything other than go through the motions.

In the same spirit, nice 50 for Zak Crawley, but apart from that, there’s little of value to say. So have a read of Danny’s piece about the potential reforms in the county game instead:

Much more interesting than today.

Surprised you did not sum it up in a haiku.

          Take your light meter.
Shove it up your arse, sideways.
          What’s the reading now?

This one is still making me laugh out loud every time I read it, a day after first doing so….

        But drops three catches.

          They want four day tests.

          A joke with English weather.

          Please keep it as five!

Some nice ones there. And I am sure a few of the poets here would be more insightful than some rent-a-gobs, even if they were constrained to just use the haiku format.

Let’s hope the last Test won’t be a rainfest.
