A number of you may remember the Cricket Power List that the Cricketer Magazine ran a couple of years ago.
You may remember that we did our own thing.
The new Cricket Power List is out tomorrow. I can exclusively reveal that Simon Hughes has not included himself this year.
Your editorial team thought it high time to update our Outside Cricket list too. Here is our previous iteration – https://beingoutsidecricket.com/the-outside-cricketer-list/.
Coming tomorrow. The Power Cut List!
So, I thought, “#39” has only been a thing for 2 years? Seems longer. So I did a bit of research and the Telegraph article with the full list is dated 2 September 2016. And there he is at #39.
Apparently it came *back* in 2017, presumably without Hughes.
Apologies for being a memory freak.

It did, but I hoped no-one would notice.

I remember reading your list in a Prague hotel room. Stayed in Prague in Sep 2016 and Sep 2017, but in different hotels. My recall of the surroundings convinced me it was 2016.
Please don’t be alarmed by these powers of recall: one day they will probably be gone and I will miss them. Until then use it or lose it I say.

Meanwhile back at the water board, good to know that the ECB sieve is just as effective as usual and continuing to reward good journalism. Don’t forget folks, you read it here first.
