Precaution

All.

I have reason to believe that there is someone trying to bring the site down. It’s not paranoia, but we’ve got two very ominous click sources in the past 24 hours. If this site is to go down, we will revert to the old one.

Hopefully a false alarm. But I’m not so sure.

We’ll keep you informed.

UPDATE – No more attempts and speaking to an IT guy at work the threat is small. But if there is anything odd (and I don’t mean commenters) let me know.

How odd. What possible motive could they have?

Do they not like the quality of the articles on here? Do they not like the truth? How strange someone would want to bring the site down.

Do you think its a grudges held by a lone crazy person or is it more orchestrated?

I am probably being over anxious but this spooked me. Looks like an individual. Not sure how it would work. But we see where we get clicks from and this one is new on us.

      They had a malware attack.

I read that independent piece as saying it’s all going online. Good luck with that. The site is a mess.

I stopped reading it after the redesign a few years ago, that and the here are 20 random opinions from Twitter tacked together to make an article. Mind you it is bilious sites like this with their quality advertisement free content that is killing them.

Guardian, Mail and The BBC are the go to places for full on ECB message.

Did anyone think those Cook statements were snide, and still showing a sense of bitterness and entiltlement?

Cook. ““”In T20 there is always an element of luck. The best side wins it but, because it is such a short tournament and a short form of the game, it only takes a team to get on a roll, get a bit of confidence, and they’ll win it.”

      Nice! …..”It only takes……”

So if England win, it will be a bit of luck. Can’t have captain Morgan taking any credit because Cook already told us after the WC that it was the wrong decision to drop himself and appoint Morgan. Sometimes I don’t know if it’s because he is a bit thick or just plain arrogant.

Funnily enough, see near the end of the ‘Move along, nothing to see’ thread!

I think you’re being very harsh: that’s not the impression I got from his comments at all. Twenty20 does involve a bit of luck regarding things going right and wrong on the day, more so than the other formats, because of the different nature of the skills involved in playing it, which isn’t to say the best side won’t triumph – so it’s not like he’s completely wrong in this case.

West Indies beat the hosts to make the U19 WC Final.

A springboard for revival? If only…..

I really don’t understand what all the fuss is about.
    People should just lighten up!
I mean, it’s not as if some of us spent 39 years, 189 days and 23 hours passionately following English cricket before *that* happened 2 years ago, is it.
