Short post to introduce the game tonight. Scotland will be batting first in this battle of the associate nations. If it lives up to the Ireland v UAE match then we are in for a cracker.
I had a late evening so not able to comment on the information paper provided by the ECB. It seems beyond parody to me, especially the re-name.
I’ll have a say….
But keep coming with your comments. Really appreciate them.
Shapoor Zadran has the best run-up of any bowler in the tournament. Mohit Sharma second.

I always liked Merv Hughes run up and Dominic Cork, they both ran round a corner to get to the crease, or at least that’s how I remember it…….

Another cracker finish! Maybe the world cup should be reduced to 6 countries: Scotland, Ireland, Zim, Afghanistan, UAE and Bangladesh.!
Slightly off topic – reading the article in cricinfo regarding Mickey Arthur, this sentence struck me (on CA management):
“….everyone was trying to find role-definition and clambering over each other to find their sense of authority. The roles were all blurred and intermingled…”
Sound familiar…

Well, that was a hell of a finish! Scotland must be absolutely gutted. Great knock from Shenwari but he almost blew it.

Meanwhile, Sangakkara has been dropped twice. You’ve gotta feel Bangladesh are gonna pay for that.

Maybe the ICC would be wise to ban the Full Members from the World Cup, seeing that they fail to be competitive.
